NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Analysis: Updated Super Bowl Odds
Posted: Wednesday, December 1, 2021 6:09, EST
Earlier this week, we posted a blog about why you should consider backing the Green Bay Packers to win Super Bowl 56. In this blog, we'll discuss why you should consider backing the Bucs to repeat as Super Bowl champions. A blog about the Super Bowl chalk? It doesn't sound very intriguing, right? But don't forget that no team has repeated as Super Bowl champion since the 2004 and 2005 seasons. With that in mind, check out why should consider backing Terrific Tom and his mates to win rings for a second straight season. Let's get right to it so you can make your bets against the Super Bowl odds.
Why Bet on the Buccaneers to Win Super Bowl LVI?
Super Bowl LVI
- When: Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022
- Where: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
- TV / Streaming: NBC / Peacock
Tom Brady
We require just two words and one name for the first reason. Brady has won an incredible seven Super Bowls. The GOAT usually steps it up in the playoffs.
The Bucs almost certainly will win the NFC South now that New Orleans has suffered major injuries to key players, the Falcons are terrible, and the Carolina Panthers proved to be a paper tiger.
So once Brady gets into the playoffs, he'll ratchet up his game.
The Buccaneers' defense is getting healthy
In the first half of the season, the defensive front seven and the offense had to protect a secondary ravaged by injuries.
Finally, Buccaneers' defensive backs are getting healthy. Once those players return, there's no telling how dominant the Bucs' defense can become.
Tampa turned the corner in the come from behind victory over the Indianapolis Colts
The Buccaneers had every reason to give up in Week 12. The Indianapolis Colts held a 10-point halftime lead.
Tampa could have written off the game because it was against an AFC team and becuase TB has a big lead in the NFC South. But Brady rallied the Buccaneers to not only a win, but a win and cover.
Super Bowl caliber teams don't give up. They want to win every game. The Buccaneers have that attitude.
Outside of Green Bay, the NFC isn't very good
In the season's first month, it looked as if the top teams resided in the NFC. The Patriots were a mess, Buffalo had lost their first game, and KC was playing terribly.
But as we head into NFL Week 13, it's apparent that the NFC has just three teams that can win the Super Bowl, the Arizona Cardinals, the Green Bay Packers, and the Buccaneers.
The Rams have lost 3 straight, the Seahawks are all but eliminated from the playoffs, the Saints won't recover from their injuries, and Dallas, Minnesota, San Francisco, and Washington all have flaws.
So Tampa Bay must just beat the Packers again and the Cardinals to make it to the Super Bowl. Once there, they can beat whichever team wins the AFC.

Who cares which team will win? We're here to figure out which song Maroon 5 will perform first, how clairvoyant Tony Romo will be, and will Donald Trump be on anyone's mind and mentioned?
January 26, 1986, two of the most beautiful things in NFL history happened: The New England Patriots were throttled in the Super Bowl, and the proposition bet became a gambling sensation. As a publicity stunt, odds makers offered bets on whether Bears defensive lineman William "Refrigerator" Perry would score a rushing touchdown in Super Bowl XX, giving bets paying out as high as 75-1. Shockingly, Perry did score a rushing touchdown.
The bet sparked a wave of prop bets, which have become an international phenomenon in the past three decades. An estimated $4 billion–plus will be wagered on the Super Bowl, and roughly a quarter of that amount will come via proposition bets. That's more money on prop bets than the Rams were valued at when Stan Kroenke bought a controlling stake in the team in 2010.

Want even more Super Bowl 56 Information:
If that isn't enough for you, here's a ton of things we can say about the annual Super Bowl, but what brings the most attention is the betting side and final stats that surround this famous game. First played in 1967 as part of a merger agreement between the National Football League (NFL) and its then-rival league the American Football League (AFL), the annual Super Bowl has gained a place in the American and the sports culture as the biggest sports event in the nation.
Initially, it was agreed that the two leagues' champion teams would meet in the AFL–NFL World Championship Game until the merger was officially put in place in 1970. After the merger, each league was designated as a "conference", and the game has since been played between the conference champs to determine the league's overall champion. Usually played on the first Sunday in February, the final game of the season is usually accompanied by a wave of excitement, cheers and high-fives, but it also the most gambled-on sporting events in the world. Despite their bankroll or previous experience, fans are always looking for a chance to predict the game outcome and engage in some betting action on the side. Every year, fans bet more and more, and judging by the figures reported on each and every year, that trend isn't likely to change anytime soon.
Since the inception of Super Bowl, favorites own a 33-15 record straight up and 26-18-2 ATS. There have only been six instances where the favorite won the game straight up but failed to cover the spread. Those outcomes happened in 2009 (Super Bowl XLIII), 2005 (Super Bowl XXXIX), 2004 (Super Bowl XXXVIII), 1996 (Super Bowl XXX), 1989 (Super Bowl XXIII) and 1976 (Super Bowl X).
Only two Super Bowl games have ended in pushes or ties. Those matchups took place in 1997 (Super Bowl XXXI, Pats 21, Packers 35) and 2000 (Super Bowl XXIV, Rams 23, Titans 16). In the 2014-15 (Super Bowl XLIX) game between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, the closing line was PK (Pick 'em) marking the first time in Super Bowl history that none of the teams playing the game were betting favorites. Both teams were tied 14–14 at halftime, the Seahawks were able to build a ten-point lead by the end of the 3rd quarter. The Patriots, however, rallied to take a 28–24 lead with less than two minutes left in the game clock.
The historical Super Bowl 50 marked the "Golden Anniversary" of the game. The Carolina Panthers closed the regular season with a 15–1 record and the best offense in the league, and quarterback Cam Newton was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP). On the other hand, veteran Peyton Manning led the Denver Broncos to their eight Super Bowl appearance.
The game was one of the most defensive matches in the game history, although, the Broncos took an early lead and never trailed, beating the Panthers 24-10 in Peyton Manning's last game in the NFL.
Super Bowl LI was on of the best ones yet. The New England Patriots were on a 28-3 deficit against the Atlanta Falcons and many thought the Tom Brady magic was gone, but they were so wrong.
At the second half, the Patriots were able to tie the game, making it the first and only Super Bowl to go to overtime. In the end, the Patriots were able to get the win and their fifth Super Bowl title.
